Description
Kookaburra Kahuna 4.1 Cricket Bat:
Kookaburra Kahuna 4.1 Cricket Bat is crafted from high-quality Grade 4 English Willow that hasn’t been breached. It features a short handle paired with a long blade which makes it comfortable to hold and play with. The bat comes with a ‘Vertex’ grip for a secure hold when you’re swinging for the boundaries.
Kookaburra Pre-Prepared” (KPP):
Kookaburra has taken the extra step to partially prepare the bat for you, a process they call “Kookaburra Pre-Prepared” (KPP), meaning it’s almost ready to use in a game. However, further knocking-in and preparation might still be advisable to ensure the bat performs at its best and lasts longer.
sweet spot:
The sweet spot, or the middle part of the kookaburra Kahuna cricket bat where you ideally want to hit the ball, is placed roughly in the center. It’s situated about 215mm to 235mm from the toe of the bat. This region is designed to help you play powerful shots.
Rounded Shape:
The edges of the bat are quite thick, measuring approximately 35mm to 38mm. They’re shaped in a rounded fashion which typically contributes to more powerful strokes and a stronger bat. The face of the blade (the front part that strikes the ball) is curved which can help a batsman control their shots better.
The toe of the bat, which is the bottom part, has a standard profile. This means it doesn’t have any unusual shape and is typical for a cricket bat.
Looking at the spine, which is the raised, back part of the bat that runs along the length, we see it has a height of about 64mm to 68mm, giving the bat additional strength and power.
There’s a minimal scallop of about 1mm to 2mm, the scallop is the indentation or the dip between the edge and the spine, which can help with the balance of the bat and contribute to the overall weight distribution.
Handle:
This Real Wood Cricket bat also has a slight bow of approximately 11mm to 12mm, which refers to the curve from the tip of the handle to the toe of the bat, this assists in the lift of the ball, especially when playing drives.
Lastly, the handle is oval-shaped. This provides a more natural and comfortable grip for the player’s bottom hand, giving you more control when handling the bat.
Remember, even with these descriptions and measurements, it’s important to pick up and feel the bat yourself to know if it feels right for you and matches your playing style! So all of these features make this bat the kookaburra’s top grade cricket bat.
